Service User Involvement

Service users aren’t just involved in our work – they have designed and co-delivered it. People with lived experience have been heavily involved in designing, developing and now delivering our programme. As we achieve success with our beneficiaries we want to empower them to get involved in the programme and inspire others. We have been doing this in all sorts of ways so far, for example by, employing five former service users as Apprentice Navigators and by training our volunteers to become programme Navigators and Peer Researchers. Service users have also helped us to develop and design our marketing materials and have represented the programme at a range of national conferences related to people with multiple needs.

The driving force of our service design is that the people who use our service should feel not only that it’s there for them – but that is belongs to them.
